On making & Perfectionism
I am a recovering perfectionist. That might sound alarming coming from a stationery designer, so rest assured that my recovery doesn’t involve suddenly becoming laissez-faire about typos and spacing! But I’m not just saying it in the job interview, “oh-my-biggest-weakness-is-actually-a-huge-asset” kind of way, either.
As a creative, nothing has been more debilitating to my work than the fear of making a mistake.

Learning Letterpress
You won’t ever catch me offering a paid course on letterpress for two reasons:
There are so many people out there with deep and vast expertise on the subject who would be much better teachers than I;
Those people gladly and graciously offered their knowledge to me for free while I was teaching myself letterpress.
Anything I know has come from the generosity of people who simply love the craft and want to see it live on. I learned from YouTube videos, forums, books, demonstrations, and conversation with veteran and amateur printers alike. It’s only right that I pay it forward!
